Goals of North Little Rock Historic District Commission
- To protect the historic character and integrity of each historic district in the city
- To preserve and protect the various examples of historic architecture in the city of North Little Rock
- To integrate the necessary and desirable changes in support of our historic neighborhoods’ continuing vitality
- To balance the needs of property owners with the unique architectural and historical qualities of each property
- To provide guidance to people undertaking construction projects in the city’s historic districts
- To identify and recommend appropriate design review approaches
- To increase public awareness of historic structures and their role in the city’s history
